This counted cross stitch cushion design from Permin of Copenhagen, features a collection of butterflies in back, white and grey shades. They are flitting over grasses in muted green colours, making this a great design to blend with many colour schemes in the home.

The kit contains 26 count linen, DMC stranded cottons, needle, chart and instructions. Includes fabric to make the backing.

Q: Is chart in colour

This is a black and white chart

Q: can you use aida instead of linen, if so what count?

This would be stitched over two threads on the linen, so would be effectively a 13 count. You would have enough thread to use a 14 count aida fabric as this is ever so slightly smaller, at 37cm sqaure. You could still finish as a 40cm standard cushion size as the design does not go to the edges anyway.
