Product Description

Bright Gold coloured metallic embroidery thread from DMC with a high quality finish. Viscose fibres are wrapped in a metallised polyester coating and silicone treatment making the thread durable and easy to use.

Diamant Grande does not split easily or fray whilst being worked with, this is a thicker 6 ply thread equivalent to stitching with two strands of standard Diamant thread.
20 metres per spool (21.8 yards).

Gold thread

This gold thread was fine to work with. A bit fiddly to get into the eye of the needle (it would split) , but definitely better t stitch with than gold thread I have had before. Was worth the cost and effort.

Strong cotton

I am not sure what I was expecting, but I wasn't expecting this to be so strong. I have used it so far and back stitch on cross stitch pieces. I thought it would give a little sparkle to any piece.

Lovely Colour.

A lovely emerald green which stands out on a project, especially if the background is a dark colour. I use it for hand stitching so I don't know how good it would be to use it in a sewing machine. It does fray easily, so I use it in shorter lengths and run some Thread Magic over it to help it pass through fabric smoothly. Usual DMC quality.

DMC Diamant thread -Metallic without the pain

Lovely metallic to work with. It doesn't twist and split like so many of the others and coming on a neat bobbin makes it easy to store. Lovely lustre without the frustration of most metallics.

Christmas tags

I brought this for use to tie christmas tags to presents. Unfortunately it was a lot thinner than it looks in the picture. I was looking for something the thickness of embroidery silks but wanted something glittery. Unfortunately I feel I have wasted £3 as I wont be able to use to for the purpose I brought it for. Apart from that the quality etc is good, cannot fault the product itself.
