DMC Stitchbow (Pack of 10)

I find the stitch bows perfect for keeping thread neat and tidy, I use them alongside the DMC file sheet which enables me to see the colours and thread numbers, and being able to keep those in a ring file is a bonus!
The easy clip (18 x 9) is a pleasure to work with on larger projects. No matter the size I always use DMC threads, the quality is consistent with them. Overall very pleased with my purchases!

These bows are a great way of controlling your fine silk threads. Then using the clear plastic folders you can file by colour tones or whatever suits you.

I don't know how I'd cope with my threads if it weren't for these stitchbows. It is so easy to slip the embroidery thread skein onto them. Saves a lot of winding onto the flat bobbins and it also means you don't get lots of kinks in the thread, just the ones that are the loops on the skein. Once your thread is one the stitchbow, it just slides into the pocket of the plastic file inserts. You can choose to either use the DMC numbers - sold separately - or slip the skein sleeve with the number on it onto the stitchbow tab. Easy.

These were the best value per unit I could find, and ideal for storing dmc threads without having kinks from folding around the cards. Used in conjunction with the plastic sheets.

The stitchbows hold skeins of DMC floss with no rewinding and keep them tangle free and without fold marks, I keep mine in thestitchbow file pages in hanging file holders in a box, together with other threads on a floss drop system

I usually use card bobbins for all my threads but found that my speciality threads didn't wind easily or well, so I thought I'd give these a try. I like the idea of them that a skien should just slip onto them, and the little tag at the side perfectly fits the number label, for most of my skiens this was true but a few were too tight making the bow bend so I had to manually wind them, not really an issue. They are handy and I can see why some people use them for speedy storage. I wouldn't personally choose them over bobbins for my normal threads but for my Etoile and Diamantes they are very good.

Have used this system for years and find it works for me. Quick and easy to transfer skeins onto the stitchbow and no messy tangled threads.
