I brought this for my current cross stitch project, specifically because I knew being the DMC Charles Craft fabric it would come in a roll, so no creases to iron out!
I love working on evenweave fabric, although I know some less experienced cross stitches are not sure about it. (I've been stitching for 33 years).
My advice is to go for it - you'll soon get used to counting over two strands and it makes fractionals so much easier as there is a ready made whole in the centre of each stitch.
Charles Craft evenweave is a good starting point for those new to fabric other than Aida, as unlike some natural linens it is what it says on the tin - a fabric with an even weave and is also less expensive than most other evenweave fabrics
