Luca-S December Wreath Christmas Cross Stitch Kit

I bought this kit as a way to try out a 16 count cross stitch as I had not done one on such fine canvas before. The design is very pretty, and the threads are clearly organised, though I found the colour/stitch key somewhat hard to puzzle out in terms of which were full and which were half stitches. Sadly my eyesight is not up to 16 count, especially doing it in the evenings in low light, so I had to abandon it fairly early on and can't comment on the finished piece, that was no fault of the product though.

This kit is the 4th purchased in Luca-S floral month kits. There is an overall monochrome chart (two sheets). The main charts (6 in total),are enlarged and the symbols are therefore much easier to see. Likewise as the chart is enlarged the backstitching(outlining) lines do not obscure the stitch symbols. I really like that in Luca-S kits the backstitch/outlining lines are clearly marked in various colours rather than different squiggles on lines. The bonus with this kit is that it comes with two needles and a needle threader. The Anchor threads are wound onto 4 long cardboard bobbins, thus less tangles. A lot of outlining in this kit, but only whole and half xstitches. Patience and care would be needed but a rewarding stitch as it is sixteen ct. aida.
