Fabric did not match the picture at all. I had ordered a dark blue as was shown on the order.

DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU LIKE THE PICTURE! I didn't know what I was getting myself into with this project. It's a LOT more complicated than it looks. It doesn't look like the picture - the browns of the chairs aren't lovely and smooth like the image shows, there's cream and brown and grey in there, and it really kicked me when I was down seeing this. The chart has several mystery symbols that aren't on the key, and there are also smaller differences between the image and the chart that are confusing. It includes the thread but I ran out of a couple colours (including what I needed for the writing) so I had to change the colour for that, and scramble to find extra from my personal stash for the others. All in all, with the spirit-crushing errors, differences in the pattern, and the amount of times I had to put it down so I didn't cry, it took me two years exactly to finish this. I honestly hate the finished product because of the colour differences between what I bought and what it ended up as, but I've been assured by others it supposedly looks good. All that matters is that the couple I made it for like it. I had to choose a "short review summary" and I'm going to tell you why I didn't choose these summaries: Lovely colours - I don't think grey, brown, and cream look good as different shades of the same bits of wood Matched the picture - the picture didn't have GREY in the chairs, the pinks and greens are more washed out than the picture too Good for beginners - this would be hell for a beginner. Premium feel - the thread kept knotting, and the aida was coarse Exactly what I needed - if what I needed was several mental breakdowns Fun to stitch - this is the worst project I've ever worked on Would recommend - WOULD NOT Chart was easy to follow - several mystery symbols on the chart that aren't explained, and differs from the picture in several places Great finished result - I hate it, honestly. I'm glad I didn't make it for me.
We’re very sorry that the kit did not match the colours shown and that this led to such a disappointing experience. The manufacturer has now reviewed the issue and believes it may have been caused by a change of thread supplier, together with the kit cover image being printed too brightly. They are investigating both points for future production, and the photographs you provided were extremely helpful in identifying the problem. As a replacement kit would not resolve this for you, we have arranged a full refund. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Hi Tack All Purpose Glue 115ml
Glue delivered on the day. I opened the glue, used a small amount on what I needed it for and stood it upright but the glue would not stop coming out of the top, there must have been some pressure in the bottle after delivery. I did not use the glue then until the next day when it did exactly the same. I have tried it again but the same thing happens so, I would not recommend this product. Maybe I just had a faulty one, who knows.
Bothy Threads Shining Stars Christmas Cross Stitch Kit
I was really anxious to start this work. Different, and should be a really special effect. But..... I do hate giving negative reviews but all prepared I began to work. But the silver thread seemed too thick for the gauge of the cloth. When I pulled a stitch through it shredded the thread. I tried different needles, and re started over and over but in the end had to give up. I was really sorry, I had been looking forward to doing this.

Having been delighted with the Ochidea and Design Works kits I decided to try the Dimensions one. I'm afraid it was not as good as I expected because the pattern was difficult to read. I will, of course, order the kits that I enjoy and look forward to seeing what's on offer for this Christmas.

Found the printed plan hard to follow as it is very small print and perhaps I shouldn't have chosen one with such a lot of similar colour threads. For the time being have put this one aside.
I am sorry but my I have not yet received my order. I have paid VAT and declaration fee but am now waiting for EVRi to give my package to a local transport company for onward delivery to me.

I have been doing counted cross stitching for over 50 years and this has been the first time i have used wool/acrylic threads that I find most unpleasant to use. Particularly with a black background. The needle supplied was impossible to thread and I am NOT enjoying this project AT ALL. In fact I would prefer to give it a zero rating

I thought it would follow on but I still have not received it to date. Therefore, I cannot comment or give a review on something that I have not got.

I found this tapestry hard. The blended colours (no matter which method I used to stitch them do not show up blended. Its just a mass what looks like black - very disappointed with this. Did not complete even 1/2 way

I thought this far too difficult for a child/beginner. I was probably partly to blame as I didn't realise that there was not colour pattern on the canvas. However I felt the canvas and threads were not of a good quality. Sadly I am not even going to attempt this and will see if someone else can use it.
Grafitec Lavender Fields Tapestry Canvas
I was looking forward to receiving this product and thought would be saving money by not buying the complete kit. However although the photo is wonderful it doesn't translate well to the canvas, some of the detailing is lost as the canvas needs to be bigger, it's impossible to sew all the colours in the spaces. The printing of the picture isn't very clear and I had to keep looking online at the photo to try and judge what colours to use. the legend for the dmc art wool colours doesn't match the dmc embroidery colours, e.g. 792 floss is blue but 7425 wool is a muddy brown! i didn't think i needed to check the legend was correct before purchasing the colours. I had to go to my local craft shop to buy some alternate wools. I am from a cross stitch background so am used to a stitch map but I know from experience some of the higher end tapestry kits do come with this. All in all I am persevering with this kit and am finding it really frustrating. I will think twice before buying another Grafitec product again! I would however buy further canvases and wools from this company again as the prices are good and I received the product in good time although I'm still to receive the catalogue.
Permin 28 Count Linen - Touch of Grey Fabric
The packaging had so much sellotape I had no option but to cut it. This resulted in snipping one of the fabrics right in the middle of the fabric length rendering it unusable. I phoned and explained this but was told I had damaged the fabric so I couldn't have a refund. I therefore had to buy a second piece of the fabric. I will not be ordering from you again.
Sirdar Infinity Cowl Knitting Kit
As someone who has never knitted before I purchased this Knitting KIt which was "Designed for Beginners". Upon receiving, which took 3 weeks to receive, I was very disappointed as the "easy to follow instructions" made no sense to me at all. My Mum who is a very experienced knitter said this is definitely not for Beginners. I have since had to make a purchase of a Book to teach me to knit in order to make the Knitting KIt.

This was simply too small for me to see. It is worked from a chart which is nightmare to say the least. I was so disappointed not to be able to succeed. It is the only stitching I have found impossible.
