Lovely picture to stitch. The only complaint I have is that I’ve run out of a number of colours. I’ve been stitching for many years and have learnt to be careful and not waste thread. Some of the colours (in particular the greens) do not match the colour codes given.

Lion Brand Yarn Heartland - Glacier Bay 140g Yarn
This was the suggested yarn for the project and was soft to the touch and crocheted up well. Unfortunately there were frequent snagged threads throughout all the balls some requiring cutting out completely others just trimming. This may have been a bad batch but I’m not sure I’d rush to use Lion Brand again just in case

Must admit was pretty disappointed in this kit- not enough skeins included to actually complete picture so had to purchase some more- lucky for me have a good colour visual brain as no colour code with chart just name of colour only, also, some colours did not match colours close to photograph so used skeins from my own supply as far better match , plus also instructions themselves not at all clear. Though luckily am an experienced stitcher so end result was very happy with . Though would not recommend this kit to anyone or purchase this kit maker again as you expect to have enough skeins included to complete design.

I chose this particular Swan theme and was really attracted by the photo which clearly shows the finished cushion with a beautiful lace trim. When it arrived, no lace was included, clearly I'm going to have to provide that for myself. A bit disappointing....

Design Works Crafts Ice Fairy Christmas Cross Stitch Kit
I bought this because of the design and I had previously had a kit from this company. The packaging was good however I can't say I like the pattern the print size is too small. Because of the number and style of the symbols it is difficult to read. Also because of this a separate pattern for the backstitch would be better as the lines obscure some of the symbols. The other point to make is that the number of lengths of thread are short in all cases bar two for example for one colour it says 17 but there is only 10 and another says 8 but there is only 5 . Other than that I am looking forward to complete this kit.

I bought this kit to try out long stitch, which I have never done before. It comes with all the materials needed to complete the project. I found it rather difficult to fit the preprinted canvas into the supplied hoop. Also stitching the motive challenged the muscles in my hands and fingers. I am a seasoned cross stitcher and needlepoint enthusiast. I have a lot of patience and I am used to stitching for hours, but this is a little different. I could only do short sessions for an hour at a time and I had to take breaks every 15 min because my arms/hands/fingers were exhausted. I would not buy another one of these kits for myself. Overall, however, it is ok
